Do I need to have access to a computer to attend?
Yes. Enrolled, qualified families may be eligible to receive a loaner computer system (including computer and printer) from Alabama Virtual Academy at Eufaula City Schools (ALVA) to support the learning process. These computer systems are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves the school. Each family will need to secure their own internet service provider. In certain cases, qualified families may receive an internet stipend. This determination will take place during the enrollment process.
What computer skills are required?
The Learning Coach needs to have at least basic computer skills. Use of the computer is an important part of the online school program. In the elementary grades, mostly the Learning Coach interacts with the computer. Middle school and high school students are most successful if they have basic computer skills.
How do I get technical support?
ALVA families needing customer care or technical support for computers or the online school can call 866.512.2273 (select option 2).
