Congratulations to the ALVA Winners of the 2024 K12 Photography Competition

The 2024 K12 Photography Competition boasted more than 12,000 entries from talented students nationwide. Among those were 288 submissions from Alabama Virtual Academy students.
This annual competition celebrates the artistic skills of kindergarten through 12th grade students and provides a platform for them to showcase their unique perspectives through the camera lens.
A total of $20,000 in cash prizes were awarded to this year’s winner! In each grade level, the 1st place winner received $1,000, the 2nd place winner took home $500, and the People’s Choice winner—selected through public voting—earned $100.
We’re incredibly proud of every student who participated, whether as a first-time competitor or a seasoned photographer. Even more exciting, we’re thrilled to announce that two of our very own students from Alabama Virtual Academy earned a top spot in this year’s competition!

We couldn’t be prouder of Alexia and Dekensley for their incredible achievements in this year’s competition. Their unique vision and dedication truly shined in their photography, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to evolve and flourish as artists.
